Tracking the clubs with most YNT players
With the kick off to the new year, there is a new start to the U.S. Men’s Youth National Team programming. U.S. Soccer announced a massive summit for January in Florida, which includes five Youth National Teams.
The U18 Men’s National Team is the only group that kicked off the two-year cycle, which is designed around the Youth World Cup schedule, in 2017 while the rest are getting the first taste of new teams this month.
With the unveiling of the first rosters for each age group, TopDrawerSoccer began tracking the call-ups for every Men’s Youth National Team for the 2018-2019 period. Along with tracking the players, TopDrawerSoccer is also going to track the clubs or academies with the most players called up to the U.S. Youth National Teams during this period.
The vast majority of players hail from MLS academies from the introductory camps. Below is the list of the MLS academies and non-MLS academies with the most players called in from the first camps of the 2018-2019 U.S. Youth National Team cycle.
