The U.S. Under-16 Men’s Youth National Team will face Mexico on Nov. 15 and Nov. 18 during a training camp from Nov. 10-19 at the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol headquarters in Toluca, Mexico. The games mark the first international matches for new U-16 MYNT head coach Alex Aldaz after he held his first training camp in September in Fayetteville, Ga.
Players born on or after Jan. 1, 2009 are age-eligible for this one-year U-16 cycle and all 20 players were born in 2009. All 20 players are age-eligible for next February’s Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers, which will send eight teams to the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
The roster features players from 13 Major League Soccer clubs, led by three players from Houston Dynamo FC and two each from Chicago Fire FC, LA Galaxy, the New York Red Bulls and the San Jose Earthquakes.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
- In addition to the 19 players from MLS academy set-ups, midfielder Xander Newstead is based at Dutch powerhouse Ajax.
- The players come from 10 states, led by six from California and four from Texas.
- Ten players return from the U-16s’ September training camp, while 10 players receive their first call-up of the cycle.
- This camp marks the first international matches for this age group since it won May’s Vlatko Markovic Tournament in Croatia as the U-15 MYNT with victories against Morocco and Japan.
- Four players participated in all four U-15 training camps and these first two U-16 camps for the 2009 age group: James Donaldson, Tyson Espy, Omar Hassan and Kaedren Spivey.
