U17/18 finish Day 3 of Academy Finals Week
DAY THREE CONCLUDES: Each of the eight teams in the Under-17/18 division of the 2011 Development Academy Finals Week now has two games under their belt with a clear picture of what they need to accomplish in their third match. Pateadores remains in first-place in Group 1 with a scoreless draw against the Dallas Texans, who remain in second on goal differential. CASL Chelsea FC Academy tied 2-2 with FC Dallas to remain in the top spot of Group 2, with FC Dallas tied on four points but taking second on goal differential. The U-17/18 division will round out group play on July 13 while the U-15/16 group begins their second group matches on Tuesday, July 12.
BAYS TOP WINLESS WESTON FC: Baltimore Bays Chelsea FC took an important win against Weston FC in the second game for both teams at the U-17/18 Development Academy Finals Week. A Michael Gamble goal in stoppage time of the first half opened the scoring for Bays, and Logan McHugh added an insurance goal just minutes from the final whistle. With the win, Bays stayed alive in Group 2 and will be looking for three more points from their third match against CASL Chelsea FC Academy while Weston will round out the group stage looking for its first points of the tournament against FC Dallas. Both games will kick off at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, July 13.
CASL EQUALISES LATE AGAINST FC DALLAS: After giving up a goal in the 80th minute, CASL Chelsea FC Academy scored an important equalizer in the 88th minute to finish 2-2 and hold on to a slim lead in Group 2 of the U-17/18 Development Academy Finals Week. Monbo Bokar scored both goals for CASL while Victor Ulloa matched the feat for FC Dallas. With the draw, FC Dallas and CASL Chelsea FC Academy both have four points with one group game remaining. CASL currently holds the advantage on the first tiebreaker, which is goal differential. FC Dallas will play Weston FC and CASL Chelsea FC Academy will play Baltimore Bays Chelsea, with both games kicking off Wed., July 13, at 6 p.m. CT.

NEW YORK RED BULLS TOPPLE PDA: In a hard-fought match between divisional rivals, New York Red Bulls defeated Players Development Academy by a 1-0 margin with a 72nd minute goal from Paul Ehrenworth at 2011 Development Academy Finals Week. New York Red Bulls now sit in third place in the Group 1 behind Pateadores and Dallas Texans, and face off against the Dallas Texans in the last group match on Wednesday, July 13, while Players Development Academy will face current group leader Pateadores. Both matches will kick off at 3 p.m. CT at Uihlein Soccer Park.
PATEADORES IN FIRST AFTER DRAW WITH TEXANS: The Dallas Texans survived playing a man down for 50 minutes and some withering late pressure from Pateadores to earn a scoreless draw at Marquette University in the second group match of the U-17/18 Division of 2011 Development Academy Finals Week. The draw means both teams have four points from two matches, Pateadores sitting on top of Group 1 based on a superior goal differential.

MATCHDAY 2 FOR THE U-15/16S: The U-15/16 age group begins its second day of group play in Milwaukee, as Group 1 up is up for grabs with all four teams tied in all categories. PA Classics looks to keep their spot atop Group 2 as they face Real Salt Lake AZ in their second game.
