CARY, N.C. — In the first summer of competitive play, the Carolina RailHawks Elite Technique Women’s Intensive Collegiate Program has challenged its roster early, facing the U20 U.S. Women's National Team last month and then playing two friendlies against the U17 WNT Tuesday afternoon at WakeMed Soccer Park.
The U.S. U17s, in town as part of its World Cup preparation, won the first of two games by a 6-0 score, a game that RailHawks deployed younger players. Both teams played their best XI in a 1-1 draw in the ensuing match.
TopDrawerSoccer.com was there for the action and took note of the top standouts as the U.S. U17s continued its World Cup preparation.
