The march towards the 2018 Under-20 Women’s World Cup is officially underway, as the U20s have been in camp this week playing other international sides in La Manga, Spain.
At the moment, the age group is in flux, as Michelle French has moved on to the full women’s national team staff. Technical Director April Heinrich is now in charge for the current trip, though a search for a new coach is in progress.
With those factors in mind, the 2018 qualifying group could end up vastly different. Keep an eye on these five players that can make a run at the final roster.
