US Club Soccer National Cup dates set
CHARLESTON, S.C. (November 5, 2013) – Dates and locations have been finalized for the National Cup XIII, US Club Soccer’s cup-based national championship competition.
Open to all member teams in the U-11 through U-18/19 boys and girls age groups, National Cup XIII Regionals will be held in six cities across the country in June and July 2014.
Winning teams from National Cup XIII Regionals and qualifying state cups in the U-13 through U-17 age groups will advance to the National Cup XIII Finals, slated for July 18-21 at Bryan Park Soccer Complex in Greensboro, N.C.
“The National Cup Finals is a valued destination,” US Club Soccer Executive Director Bill Sage said. “More than 200 national championships have been earned since the inaugural competition in 2002, and the 13th edition of the National Cup promises to continue its prestige.”
The hosting venues are familiar to US Club Soccer. Tuckahoe Turf Complex in Hammonton, N.J. (Mid-Atlantic Regional), 60 Acres Soccer Complex in Seattle (Northwest Regional) and Libertyville Township Soccer Complex (Midwest Regional) will host a National Cup Regional for the fourth consecutive year.
Davis Legacy Soccer Complex in Davis, Calif. (West Regional) and Bryan Park Soccer Complex (Southeast Regional) enter their second consecutive year hosting Regional events.
Online applications for the National Cup XIII will be available Dec. 2. Fees remain unchanged, and two competitive divisions – Super Group (most competitive) and Premier Group – are available to allow teams to compete at an appropriate level.
Additionally, the format and number of competition days for the U-11 and U-12 age groups vary by Regional location. Click here for more information.
The 2014 NPL Finals, the culminating event of US Club Soccer’s National Premier Leagues (NPL) season, will be held a week earlier at Bryan Park Soccer Complex.
