U.S. U17 MNT defender picks ACC program
D.C. United defender and U.S. U17 Men's National Team veteran Chandler Vaughn committed to Pittsburgh, he announced on his Twitter account this week.
Vaughn's been a member of the 2017 U17 World Cup cycle, and while he didn't make the roster for CONCACAF qualifying, he's spend the past few years at the Residency Program down in Bradenton, Florida. He traveled with the U17 MNT to Argentina for its trip in June, before competing for United's U16 at the recent Dev. Academy Showcase in Indiana.

The Virginia native is the No. 17 ranked player in the 2018 Boys IMG Academy Top 150, and an impressive pickup for head coach Jay Vidovich, who is set to begin his second season at Pitt later this year.
He is the first player to verbally commit to join Pitt with the class of 2018.
