As the undercard to the U.S. men’s exhibition with El Salvador on Wednesday, the U.S. U17 men’s national team took the field and prevailed in a 4-1 win over Mexico at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
Kellen Gulley scored twice while Alejandro Guido and Marc Pelosi added goals to lead the American effort.
Wade Hamilton was strong in goal and faced four shots, allowing one score to Jorge Espericueta on a penalty kick in the 51st minute.
