US Youth Nationals: U18 Girls Preview
Group A Preview
Arsenal Colorado Academy 99 (CO), TSC Showcase (TN) and Beadling 99 (PA-W) have all gotten so close to Nationals in previous years and this year finally have achieved their dreams of being able to compete at the US Youth Soccer National Championships. Nationals Union 99 Black (MI) joins the mix of having qualified for the event in its first year competing in the US Youth Soccer National League. All four teams boast an incredible mix of goal scorers so spectators should expect to see some potent attacking play.
Group B Preview
Legends FC 99 (CA-S) leads the way in experience in a veteran Group B. The Cal South side is competing in its fifth straight National Championships and has claimed two National titles along the way. After making it to the semifinals in 2015, FC Pennsylvania Strikers return and will be looking to push into the National final. Also returning is Cleveland FC (OH-N),which tasted the knockout rounds in 2014 but fell in the semifinals. OFC 99 Hampton (OK) is the lone newcomer and will look to make its mark in its first appearance on the National level after advancing to the event as the Region III Representative.
Region I: Beadling 99 (PA-W)
How they got to Nationals
Beadling 99 (PA-W) defeated FC Pennsylvania Strikers (PA-E) in a rematch of the 2016 Region I Championships semifinals to claim the 2017 Region I Championships title. Beadling finished 3-0-0 in group play with 13 goals for and just two against. Beadling claimed a 5-0 win over defending Region I Champions Syracuse Development Academy (NY-W) and then scored a late goal to win the championships game.

Region II: Cleveland FC (OH-N)
How they got to Nationals
Cleveland FC (OH-N) earned its second Region II Championships title after last winning in 2014. Cleveland went a perfect 3-0-0 in the group stage, scoring nine goals and keeping a clean sheet throughout. After a close 2-1 semifinal win against Nationals Union 00 Black (MI), Cleveland defeated Minneapolis United Inferno in kicks from the mark to claim the Region II title. Cleveland will be looking to improve on its semifinal finish in the 2014 National Championships.

Region III: OFC 99 Hampton (OK)
How they got to Nationals
OFC 99 Hampton (OK) made a strong showing at the 2017 Region III Championships, advancing to the final game and losing a 3-1 matchup against fellow 2017 National Championships competitor TSC Showcase (TN). OFC finished second in its group with a 1-1-1 record and then defeated 2016 Region III Champion Florida Krush Black (FL) in kicks from the mark to advance to the semifinals. OFC used that momentum to defeat FC Alliance 99 (TN), 2-1, in the semifinals and then fell in the final. With TSC Showcase advancing to represent the National League, OFC advances to the National Championships

How they got to Nationals
Arsenal Colorado Academy 99 (CO) is heading to the 2017 National Championships after defeating three-time National Championships participant La Roca Premier PO (UT), 3-2, in the Region IV Championships final. Arsenal finished group play in second, finishing with a 2-1-1 record, and then defeated Washington’s State Cup champion, Eastside FC 99 Red (WA), 3-1, in the quarterfinals. Arsenal used that momentum to help it earn a 4-1 win in the semifinals against California Magic 99 (CA-N). After defeating La Roca in overtime in the final, Arsenal moves on to the National Championships to represent Region IV.

Nationals Union went 4-1-2 and just beat out 2016 National Championships participant CUP Gold 99 (OH-S) to win the Black Division title. TSC Showcase (TN) won the Tennessee State Cup en route to winning the Region III Championships title. Showcase went 3-0-0 through group play without allowing a goal, and then won its quarterfinal, semifinal and final matches with a total of 14 goals for and three against.
