U.S. youth promoted to BVB first team
Christian Pulisic is on the move again. The talented attacker is moving up the ranks within Borussia Dortmund as he has been promoted to the first team for the upcoming trip to Dubai, according to reports from Germany.
Pulisic is one of two players from the Dortmund U19 team that was brought along for the trip. Felix Passlack is also joining the BVB first team on the trip. Both teenagers trained with the BVB first team on Monday. Kicker, a German news outlet, reports that both will be training with the first team moving forward.
Pulisic recently returned to Germany after spending the holidays in the States. The 17-year-old looks to be on the fast track to the first team with the German club, as he continues to win the approval of many coaches within the club.
He made his unofficial debut with the first team in September when he played against FC St. Pauli in a friendly. He has four goals and three assists this season with the club’s U19 team.
BVB leaves on Thursday for the January training camp in Dubai. The club will be at the NAS Sports Complex until Jan. 16.
