US Youth Soccer ODP Day Three Recap
The annual US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (US Youth Soccer ODP) Boys Florida Interregional completed games on Sunday at Lakewood Ranch High School in Bradenton, Fla.
Featuring teams in the 1999 and 2000 age groups, the event includes more than 140 of the nation’s top players selected from US Youth Soccer State Association and Regional level evaluations. In each age group, players will attend scheduled training sessions and also compete in matches against each of the other regional teams.

Highlights from Day 3:
2000s | Region IV 1, Region II 0
In the 2000 age group, Region IV defeated Region II, 1-0, with a goal from Jack Singer. With the win, Region IV notches it's second win of the event bringing its record to two wins and one loss through the three games.
2000s | Region I 6, Region III 1
The 2000 Region I boys picked up their third straight win at the Florida Interregional event with a 6-1 victory over Region III. Nicholas O’Donnell scored the first goal of the game in the 8th minute and soon after, Joshua Luchini found the back of the net in the 19th minute to give Region I a quick 2-0 lead. Nicholas O’Donnell added his second goal of the game in the 40th minute, just before heading into halftime. Region III opened up the second half with a goal from Michael Chappelear, but Region I’s Joshua Luchini responded with his second goal of the game in the 60th minute and Cole DiCicco added another in the 70th minute. In addition, an unfortunate own goal, gave Region I its final goal of the game and the game finished 6-1.
1999s | Region IV 3, Region II 0
1999 boys Region IV team finished up the Florida Interregional event with a 3-0 win against Region II. The first goal came for Eduardo Chaires in the 27th minute and only two minutes later, Reagan Mugume added another goal. Kepler Despinos scored the game's final goal in the 62nd minute to bring the final score to 3-0.
1999s | Region I 6, Region III 1
The 1999 Region I boys rolled to a 6-1 victory over Region III, on the final day of play at the Florida Interregional event. Samuel Solomon started off the scoring for Region I in the 7th minute and Bryson Smith scored just five minutes later to even the scoreline for Region III. In the 15th and 21st minutes, Andualem Chisholm from Region I scored two consecutive goals for his team. Topping off the first half for Region I was Zvi Ferrari’s goal in the 30th minute. John Eskay continued the scoring for Region I in the second half with a goal in the 53rd minute and lastly, Lucas Kokolois scored in the 59th minute to make the final score, 6-1. With the win, the 199 Region I team matches their 2000 counterparts with an undefeated record during the event.
US Youth Soccer ODP is the original Olympic development program. With programs in all 55 US Youth Soccer State Associations, it is available to any player. US Youth Soccer ODP is the only elite player development program that can claim members of Major League Soccer and the National Women’s Soccer League, as well as the majority of current and past national and youth national team members, as alumni.
