14 women’s college players to watch in 2014
A new year is always full of fresh opportunities and chances at various levels of soccer. Women’s college soccer season may have just ended at the start of December, but as schools restart this new calendar year, it’ll mean training begins as teams eye a fall run.
Of course, the U20 World Cup is also on the horizon in 2014. That will displace some stars from the Canadian national team, along with players from the United States (provided the team qualifies for the tournament).
With that in mind, here are 14 women’s college players to watch for in 2014.
M Morgan Brian, Virginia: The 2013 TopDrawerSoccer.com Player of the Year had quite the season. Scoring 16 goals and notching 14 assists will certainly turn heads, and Brian earned a few caps with the U.S. Women’s National Team. How she wraps up her career at Virginia and fares in appearances with the national team will dictate her chances at a World Cup spot in 2015.
