On the eve of the new college season, one of the overarching themes worth tracking are the MLS Academy alumni involved.
Division I programs aren’t fully reliant on pro pipelines, obviously, as recruits can sign with their respective academies after committing. Jaylin Lindsey and Chris Richards are two examples of 2018 graduates that had committed to play college soccer before signing.

Regardless of who isn’t there, the talent level remains at a decent level heading into the new campaign. Below is the first part looking at each MLS Academy team and who is sending players back into the mix in men’s DI soccer in 2018.
