Another opportunity for U20 WWC hopefuls
While there is just over four months left between now and the U20 Women’s World Cup, the United States continues to invest in preparation for this year’s event.
Having secured qualification back in January, the U20 WNT is now heading to Spain to compete in the La Manga Tournament. Going up against U23 WNT sides, it will provide a substantial test in the team’s preparations, much like the trip to France did at the beginning of March.
Head coach Jitka Klimkova likely has a firm idea of what her roster is set to look like later this year. However, some players that may have missed out on the qualifying roster will seek to leverage this trip to make a case for the roster or for a starting role at the World Cup.
Here’s a look at three players that have plenty at stake during the trip to Spain.
