"We hit a home run with our 2014 class," Faulconer said. "I know it is typical coaches speak to say we have a great class, etcetera, but I strongly believe that this class is going to prove to be special. Our 2014 recruits in addition to our outstanding returning group of players, sets us up well for a long and successful run in the Peach Belt and beyond.
"I want to thank my assistant Kayley Ralton, who made a huge impact for us on the recruiting trail, as well as our current players, who are always excited to share with potential prospects about their Armstrong experience. We welcome these 10 fine young ladies to the Pirate family and look forward to their arrival on campus in August."
Armstrong will return 15 players, including seven starters, for 2014. Thirteen returners have started games during their playing career.
The 2013 team finished 11-4-3 on the season, finishing 3rd in the Peach Belt Conference. Armstrong was nationally ranked numerous weeks during the season, a campaign highlighted with draws against national champion Grand Valley State and national runner-up West Florida. Armstrong returns Peach Belt All-Conference selections senior midfielder Brianne Matarazzo and junior forward Taylor Valley, as well as NSCAA All-Region junior goalkeeper Morgan Luckie and NSCAA All America junior defender Taylor Russell.
