Beall ramps up 2011 Cedarville University men's soccer schedule
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - A road trip to NCAA Division I Liberty University and nine Division II assignments highlight the 2011 Yellow Jacket men's soccer schedule assembled by Head Coach Todd Beall.
Cedarville heads to Lynchburg, Va. to meet the Flames on Sept. 23. It will be the second meeting between the two schools with the other coming in 1979.
The 18-game slate is heavy with Division II opponents as CU continues to make the transition to the NCAA. The first such match will be the season opener on Sept. 3 when Seton Hill (Pa.) visits for a 7:00 p.m. kickoff followed by a Sept. 6 jaunt to the University of Indianapolis.
The Sixth Annual Dave Jones Memorial Classic will be played on Sept. 9-10. Friday's opener pits Mount Vernon Nazarene against Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) at 5:00 p.m. followed by the Yellow Jackets against Milligan (Tenn.). MVNU meets Milligan on Saturday at 5:00 with CU taking on Olivet Nazarene in the finale.
Two other DII home dates are on the docket. They include the annual Homecoming match on Oct. 1 vs. Walsh and a contest on Oct. 5 with Urbana.
Additional DII road matches are at Notre Dame (Ohio), Tiffin, Saint Joseph's (Ind.), Malone, and Concord (W.Va.).
