GAME DETAILS
•In front of the second-largest women’s soccer crowd ever at Robert R. Hermann Stadium, Saint Louis tallied a goal late in the first half and made it stand for a 1-0 victory over No. 8 Arkansas Thursday night in the season opener for both teams.
•Emily Gaebe scored on a scramble at the doorstop of the goal line in the 34th minute with an assist from Anna Walsh, who served the ball into the penalty area from the left wing.
•The turnout of 3,102 trails only the 5,205 who witnessed SLU and Kansas battle to a 1-1 draw in 2017.

•Emily Puricelli made two saves and picked up her 29th career win and 17th career shutout.
