Bobcats Roll to First Win of 2018 Campaign
SMITHFIELD, Rhode Island – Two goals in the first 25 minutes of play and one goal in the final 25 were enough to lift the Bobcats to their first victory of the 2018 season, a 3-0 win over Bryant on Monday evening. Lauren Triglione, Al Pelletier, and Gretchen Kronfound the back of the net for Quinnipiac in the win.

SCORING SUMMARY
- 16:03 (QU 1, BRY 0) - Grunstein battled through multiple defenders on the right side of the attacking third and slid a cross through the box. Pelletier, on a perfectly timed run, picked up the cross and walked it into the net for her first of the season.
- 19:50 (QU 2, BRY 0) - Triglione took a quick touch from Madison Borowiec in the middle of the field, tip-toed around the Bryant back line and beat the keeper inside the right post to double the Bobcats lead.
- 62:18 (QU 3, BRY 0) - Triglione stepped in front of a pass from the Bryant back line and threaded a through ball to Kron who buried a shot for her first career goal.
NOTES
- Quinnipiac improves to 15-3-1 in the all-time series with Bryant.
- Triglione's goal is the second of her career and second in as many games this season after scoring at Boston College on Friday.
- Pelletier's first half tally was the first of her senior season and 14th of her career.
- The Bobcats outshot the Bulldogs 11-3 in the first half and 14-9 for the game.
- Quinnipiac also held a huge edge in corner kick opportunities, earning 11 to Bryant's zero.
- Olivia Myszewski (Elm Grove, Wisconsin) played the full 90 minutes in the goal and made four saves to earn the ninth clean sheet of her career.
UPCOMING GAME
Quinnipiac travels to Hanover, New Hampshire on Friday evening to take on Dartmouth College. The game is scheduled for a 5:00 PM start. This is the final game of a season-opening three-game road trip for the Bobcats, who host Seton Hall in their home opener on Wednesday, August 29.
