Boost Recruiting With Elite ID Soccer Camps
For the prospective student athlete, the college soccer camp experience can be a game changer in the recruiting process.
The opportunity to work hand-in-hand with coaches can prove to be a tipping point in helping a recruit land a spot on a roster. That’s been part of the success of players who have come through Occidental College’s Elite College Soccer ID Camp. Over 75 players currently playing college soccer have attended past camps. The next edition will take place on January 4-5, 2025 in Glendale, California.
The upcoming edition of the Elite College Soccer ID Camp will feature a variety of opportunities for players to both work with coaches in two days of intensive training and skill sessions, but also offer a competitive environment of scrimmages and games to showcase their abilities.
It’s a chance to compete with coaches from Southern California and beyond, with the likes of Division I programs UC Santa Barbara, Cal State Northridge, UC San Diego, Loyola Marymount, Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside set to attend. Along with that, Cal State LA, Colorado School of Mines, Washington U (Mo.) and Caltech are among the programs expected to attend.
Alumni of camps have also gone on to play at several of those schools, while others have gone on to compete at Biola, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, Azusa Pacific, Swarthmore, Claremont Mudd Scripps and Carnegie Mellon.
While the invaluable interactions with these coaches offer players the on-field experience of what it’s like to work with different members of these programs, there are more benefits off the field. Camp attendees receive valuable insight into the college soccer recruiting progress and receive player evaluations.
That includes the opportunity to speak directly with a coach who watched him at camp, providing a written and verbal evaluation. Along with that, players receive free footage from the 11-on-11 games, which allows them to cut it into their highlight packages.
