DAVIE, Fla.—The Barry Buccaneers jumped out to a first-half lead, but could not hold on to it as they tied the Nova Southeastern Sharks 2-2 in double overtime in Sunshine State Conference women's soccer action on Saturday at the NSU Soccer Complex.

The Buccaneers (4-6-1, 1-4-1 SSC) scored twice in the first half. Sarah Wolfer put Barry on the board in the 17th minute. Lavinia Nkomo's shot bounced off the post and Wolfer was there for the rebound and a 1-0 lead.

Kayla Hodge got in on the scoring in the 36th minute on a similar play, except Hodge followed up her own shot for the goal, after her first was stopped by Sharks' keeper Amanda Kopale.

The Sharks (4-5-2, 3-3-1 SSC) score twice in the second period off of corner kicks. Ali Scilliano scored in the 67th minute, on NSU's second corner of the game and Dillja Olafsdottir tied the game in the 77th minute on the next corner.

The Bucs return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 7:00 pm when they host the Florida Southern Lady Mocs at Buccaneer Field.
