Here we go again.
The non-stop conference shuffle looks to be hitting a new gear this week, as seven programs dubbed the “Catholic 7” announced their intention to break away from the Big East and form a new conference, driven by each school’s basketball prowess.
DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall and Villanova are poised to leave the Big East behind – or try and take the name with it – to form a new conference. Other schools are rumored to possibly join the new league, which still lacks on many details.
