Cowgirls fall 3-0 to Utah Valley
The University of Wyoming women’s soccer team fell 3-0 to Utah Valley on Friday evening at Clyde Field.
Wyoming (1-4) created many opportunities with seven total shots and three shots on goal but defense proved to be the difference. Junior midfielder Mollee Ramsay notched two shots on goal and sophomore defender Brooklyn Chambers had a shot on goal.
In the first half Cowgirl sophomore forward Laurel Ramer had one shot on goal, but didn’t find the back of the net. UVU answered back with a scored goal at the 25-minute mark to go into halftime 1-0.
UW came out in the second half pressuring hard but UVU scored in 63rd minute to take the led to 2-0. Cowgirls continued to pressure with four shots in the second half but couldn’t get any past the goalkeeper. UVU responded with a last goal in the 84th minute.
