DAYTON BESTED BY WISCONSIN 3-1

DAYTON, Ohio - No. 23 Dayton (4-1-0) suffered its first loss of the season to Wisconsin Friday night at Baujan Field in front of 758 fans.
Freshman Kelsey Smigel scored UD's lone goal.
The Flyers outshot the Badgers (3-1-0) 20-10. Dayton became the second nationally ranked team Wisconsin has defeated this season. The Badgers also downed then-No. 23 Washington.
Dayton is back in action next weekend at the Purdue Tournament. The Flyers play Kansas on Friday, Sept 9 at 5 p.m. and again on Sunday against the winner of the Purdue/Cal Northridge game.
