Liberty pushed an extra man forward during the last 10 minutes of regulation looking for the equalizer. A shot from midfielder Brady Mazzei from 20 yards out during the 88th minute, forced a diving save by Barrios to hold his team’s advantage.
Moments later, a Dayton foul gave Liberty a free kick near the left sideline from 25 yards out. Mazzei sent the kick across the front of the goal box, but no Flame was able to get a foot on it for a shot.
