Complete Patriot League Release
BETHLEHEM, Pa - Following continued success on the field and in the classroom, Lehigh women's soccer junior Paige Elliot has been named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, as announced on Wednesday. The award recognizes Patriot League student-athletes who own at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and were starters or key reserves. Elliot owns a stellar 3.99 cumulative grade point average in the challenging Chemical Engineering major, while serving as one of Lehigh's top defenders on the field.
Elliott has impressively posted a perfect 4.0 term GPA in three of four semesters as the starting left back for the Mountain Hawks. She was recently named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team and is now in the running for Academic All-America recognition. Elliott has been a member of the Dean's List every semester and a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll each season. She's also earned the Faculty Athletics Council Award.
Elliot accumulated two points in 2014 (one goal, one assists) which tied for third on the team. She helped anchor a strong Lehigh defense which allowed just 16 goals in 16 games, including just six goals over nine league games.
Lehigh ended its season with a 4-7-5 record and 2-3-4 mark in the league. The Mountain Hawks made history, posting their longest-ever unbeaten streak to begin league play (six). They tied defending Patriot League champion Boston University and finished the season with six shutouts.
