With two weeks in the books in women’s Division I soccer, here are five things we’ve learned at this stage of the season.
1. Keep an eye on Duke’s dynamic attack
It was expected ahead of this season to see Virginia and North Carolina have strong offenses, with Florida State right there as well. But one of the biggest takeaways from the ACC’s non-conference slate is how well the Duke offense looks to this point. Always a tough team to break down, Duke has lacked the dynamic presence in the final third that they could have now; freshman Michelle Cooper leads the team with four goals and an assist.
