Sounders pipeline comes together on Sunday
When Stanford visited Washington for a Pac-12 showdown on Sunday, it was hard to miss the familiar visage of Sigi Schmid settled into the home bleachers. Schmid may merely appreciate a college game from time to time, but it was clear why the Sounders head man trekked to Seattle’s U-District. In purple and black, senior forward Darwin Jones and freshman winger Henry Wingo are both Homegrown eligible for the Sounders, who reportedly offered Jones an HG deal last year he turned down. On the other sideline, same went for sophomore sensation Jordan Morris, who now has a U.S. national team senior call-up under his belt.
