FLYER OFFENSE ON FIRE IN 4-0 WIN OVER TOLEDO

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's soccer team posted its second consecutive shutout and fourth of the season, and the offense produced in a 4-0 win over Toledo Sunday to close out non-conference action. The Flyers improve to 5-4-1 on the season. The Rockets drop to 3-5-0.
Senior Stephanie Emery scored the first goal, and her second consecutive game-winner for the Flyers in the 11th minute on an assist from fellow senior Juliana Libertin. The Flyers kept the 1-0 lead going into the half.
The Flyer offense was held at bay until the 82nd minute and then went off. Sophomore Ashley Campbell, the reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week, subbed in at the 81:21 mark and scored 30 seconds later to put UD up 2-0.
Less than two minutes later Libertin scored on an assist from freshman Meghan Blank.
Campbell scored again in the 87th minute on an assist from sophomore Lesley Chilton. Campbell has a team-high eight goals in 10 matches played.
Freshman goalkeeper Elizabeth James had six saves for her second consecutive shutout.
Dayton starts Atlantic 10 play this Saturday, Sept. 28 vs. Richmond at 6 p.m. at Baujan Field.
