FLYER WOMEN'S SOCCER ROLLS IN A-10 OPENER
DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's soccer team cruised to a 4-0 win over Richmond Saturday at Baujan Field to open Atlantic 10 action.
Sophomore Ashley Campbell had three consecutive goals for the Flyers who improve to 6-4-1 overall and 1-0-0 in A-10. She now has a team-leading 11 goals this season.
Senior Stephanie Emery also scored and had an assist for UD. Sophomore Nicole Waters had two assists and senior Juliana Libertin also had an assist. Libertin has 35 career assists, tops in the NCAA for active players.
Flyer freshman goalkeeper Elizabeth James had three spectacular saves to preserve the shutout. Richmond drops to 3-6-2 overall and 0-1-0 in the A-10.
Dayton is back in action when it hosts George Mason this Friday, Oct. 4 at 5:30 p.m. at Baujan Field.
