Complete Patriot League Release
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After scoring the game-tying goal in Friday's season opener at UConn, Lehigh men's soccer senior Mark Forrest has been named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, as announced on Monday. The weekly award marks the seventh of his career after winning Offensive Player of the Week three times last season and Rookie of the Week on three occasions in 2015.
The league's Preseason Player of the Year put home the equalizer in the 78th minute Friday. Forrest's goal came on a penalty kick after sophomore Stevo Bednarsky was fouled in the box. The goal was the 34th of Forrest's career to tie for fifth place in Patriot League history.
The Mountain Hawks return to action on Monday night when they host Drexel at 7 p.m. The game can be viewed live on the Patriot League Network and Stadium's Over-The-Air platforms.
