Furman Women’s Soccer Inks Nine
Furman women's soccer has signed nine players to national letters of intent to join the Paladin program in the fall of 2015, including four players who were ranked as a three or four-star recruit by Top Drawer Soccer, it was announced on Monday by head coach Andrew Burr.
Stephanie Arrington of Indialantic, Fla., Hannah Carroll of Cary, N.C., Allie Cutler of Raleigh, N.C., Hannah Froats of Johns Creek, Ga., Maddie Kulik of Jacksonville, Fla., Kristian Leone of Woodstock, Ga., Alex Murdoch of Decatur, Ga., Virginia Poe of Jacksonville, Ala., and Margaret Swain of Vestavia Hills, Ala., will report in August for preseason camp.
"We're pleased with this group of signees and want to welcome each one of them to the Furman soccer family, said Burr. "This group will help us add talent and depth to our roster, especially in the midfield and along the back line."
Leone, a product of River Ridge High School, was rated as a four-star prospect by Top Drawer Soccer, while midfielder Hannah Carroll, midfielder Alex Murdoch and versatile athlete Virginia Poe were all listed as three-star prospects in the class of 2015.
The 2015 Furman Paladins return seven starters from a 2014 squad that wen 13-4-2 overall and posted a 6-1-2 Southern Conference record.
