DETROIT - The Wisconsin-Green Bay women's soccer team battled its way to a 0-0 double overtime tie with league rival Detroit Sunday afternoon at Titan Field. The Phoenix is now 4-9-3 (2-3-2 Horizon League) with the draw, while the Titans move to 3-11-2 (1-4-1 Horizon League).

Green Bay goalkeeper Maddie Drusch (Appleton, Wis.) played all 110 minutes between the posts, making five saves en route to her third shutout of the season. Detroit keeper Joanna Hinde made four stops in what was also her third shutout of the year.

The Phoenix nearly got on the board for the win in the waning seconds of regulation when freshman forward Nicole Dooher (New Hope, Minn.) got past a Detroit defender down the right side of the field. Dooher took a good shot toward the far post, but Hinde made a diving save as time expired.

In overtime, the Phoenix held a 3-2 shot advantage, but neither team was able to find the net. Drusch was forced to make a pair of saves after regulation, one in each extra period.

Detroit outshot Green Bay 15-9 in the contest. Dooher tied for the team high in shots with three, while Corey Arno (Winneconne, Wis.) also took a trio of shots. Detroit's Selena Stanski had the game high with four shots, including one on goal.

The Phoenix has just one regular season match remaining on the schedule - a meeting with in-state Horizon League rival Milwaukee this Friday at Santaga Stadium at 7 p.m. Milwaukee has clinched the No. 1 seed for the league tournament, while the Phoenix is currently sitting in the sixth and final tournament spot.
