Hoya Women's Soccer signs seven for 2015
Georgetown University Head Women’s Soccer Coach Dave Nolan announced today that seven student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to attend the University and play on the Hilltop.
The incoming group of seven student-athletes joins a program that returns 21 letterwinners from last year’s team, which reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the third-straight season.
“This class is another strong group of motivated student-athletes, eager to start their college careers here at Georgetown University,” Nolan said. “It provides us with greater depth and competition in all major positions, (except goalkeeper), and in particular on offense. We are excited to welcome them all to our program and hopefully help them achieve their goals both in the classroom and on the soccer field."
Georgetown finished the 2014 season ranked No. 24 in the country by the NSCAA, with an 11-5-6 overall. The Hoyas posted a 6-1-2 record in the BIG EAST and advanced to play in the BIG EAST Tournament Championship game.
In the last eight years under Nolan, Georgetown has won 112 games, made five NCAA Tournament appearances, reached the 2010 Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament and reached the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament five times.
