Indiana Announces 2013 Spring Schedule
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana University’s Women’s Soccer program, under the direction of new head coach Amy Berbary, has announced its upcoming spring schedule. The schedule features teams from the SEC, Big East, MAC and Atlantic-10 along with the Haitian National Team.
The schedule begins on Saturday (March 2) when the Hoosiers travel to Tennessee to take on the Lady Vols, a squad that only lost five games last season.
The only spring match to take place in Bloomington will be on March 23, when the team will play an Alumni Game at 1 p.m. at the IUWS Practice Field located at the corner of 10th Street and The Bypass. Admission will be free.
On April 6, the Hoosiers will head east to the Cincinnati area for a couple matches. At 11 a.m., the Hoosiers will play at Miami (OH), a team that won 20 games last year and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Later that same day, IU will head to Xavier to play the Musketeers at 4 p.m., a team that Indiana defeated during the 2012 regular season, 5-0.
Then on April 12, Indiana will take a trip south to face a competitive Louisville team that only lost four games a season ago. The game against the Cardinals is slated to begin at 7 p.m. ET.
The last game of the spring schedule puts the Hoosiers against the Haitian National team, and the game will be held in Indianapolis at Kuntz Memorial Soccer Stadium (For directions: http://www.iupuijags.com/sports/2008/1/2/GEN_0102083945.aspx?) on the campus of IUPUI.
