Iona Soccer Earns USCA Academics
KANSAS CITY, MO – The United Soccer Coaches announced its team Academic Award winners for the 2017-18 academic year. Both the Iona College men's and women's programs were recognized for their efforts in the classroom.
This is the eighth time the women's program has earned recognition. They finished the 2017-18 season with a 3.691 cumulative team GPA. The men's team has now been honored six times and earned its first distinction since 2014 with a team GPA pf 3.172.
Iona, Marist, Monmouth, and Siena had both men's and women's teams honored. Quinnipiac and Rider had its respective women's team honored. The team must have maintained a 3.0 GPA during the academic year to be eligible to the award.
