Scouting Northeastern: The Huskies have a 3-6 overall record and are 1-1 in CAA play after a 1-0 win over Georgia State and a 4-2 loss to UNCW, both in home games.
The Huskies were picked to finish fourth in the CAA behind William and Mary, JMU and Hofstra, as voted by the league's coaches.
The Series with Northeastern: JMU leads the all-time series 5-4-0. The Dukes have not lost to the Huskies in games played in Harrisonburg (3-0-0), but in games played at Northeastern the Huskies lead the series 3-2-0.

Scouting Hofstra: The Pride brings a three-game winning streak, a 6-4-0 overall record and a 2-0 CAA record into the game vs. JMU. Hofstra has won both its CAA matches by shutout, winning 1-0 at North Carolina Wilmington and 5-0 at home against Georgia State.
The Pride was picked to finish third in the CAA behind William and Mary and JMU, as voted by the league's coaches.
The Series with Hofstra: The Dukes lead the all-time series against Hofstra 7-4-1, but neither team has dominated the other. Seven of the 12 meetings have been decided by a single goal, one was a tie, and four have been decided by two goals.

Breakout Game at ODU: JMU's five-goal output in its 5-0 win at ODU on Sept. 20 marked the first time JMU had scored as many as five goals in a road game since 10/30/06 in a 5-0 win at Virginia Commonwealth in a CAA Tournament first-round game. The last time JMU scored five or more goals in any game was last season, when the Dukes beat Pittsburgh 6-0 on 8/26/11.
Vs. ODU JMU also ended a five-game losing streak and gained its second shutout victory of the season.
Holding the Tribe Without a Shot: William and Mary entered its Sept. 23 game vs. JMU averaging 14.9 shots per match, but the Tribe didn't get a shot off in the first half vs. the Dukes. The Tribe had not been held without a shot in a half in nine previous matches this season.

Wilson Moves Up on Career Lists: Vs. ODU junior Lauren Wilson scored her 19th career goal. She moved from tied for 14th to tied for 13th place with Teri Joyce (1999-02) on JMU's career goals list.
Wilson increased her career points total to 47 and moved from 22nd place to tied for 18th place on JMU's all-time points list. She shares 18th place with Sarah Cebulski ((2003-06).
Redshirt senior Kelly Germain has 12 career assists and remains tied for 23rd on JMU's all-time list. She's one assist away from 21st place, currently shared by Abby Karpinski (2000-03) and Jess Remmes (2006-09), who each had 13 career assists.
Home at Last: JMU, which has played six of its last seven games on the road, is home for back-to-back games this week. The Dukes host Northeastern (Sept. 27) and Hofstra (Sept. 30) at University Park.
Four Opponents Projected for NCAA Field: Four JMU opponents are projected to be among the 64 teams in the 2012 NCAA Tournament field, according to the website TopDrawerSoccer.com. The weekly rankings are a running attempt to project the postseason NCAA Tournament qualifiers, including every automatic conference berth.
