Kats Down Jamestown CC, 3-1
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Oct. 13 - The Erie Community College men's soccer team scored two goals in a 57-second stretch in the first half as the Kats recorded a 3-1 win over Jamestown CC Saturday afternoon at Jim Ball Stadium in Region III action.
The Kats, now 9-5 overall, got goals from freshman Matt Jones (Eden, N.Y./Eden) and Mohamad Hamade (Lackawanna, N.Y./Lackawanna) during that 57-second stretch midway in the first half. Chris Aurilio (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South) gave ECC a 3-0 lead with just over 15 minutes to play. Credited with assists were: Mark Tellgren (Springville, N.Y./Springville), Brien Connolly (Hamburg, N.Y./Eden) and Taylor Sentz (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier).
Rich Bund (Silver Creek, N.Y./Silver Creek) made 11 saves for the Kats.
ECC closes the regular season with a 6 p.m. contest Monday against Medaille JV at All High Stadium.
