Kats Rebound with Shutout Victory

NORTH EAST, Pa. - Sept. 10 - The Erie Community College men's soccer team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 2-0 victory over Mercyhurst North East Monday evening. ECC goalkeeper Rich Bund (Silver Creek, N.Y./Silver Creek) made 13 saves for his second shutout win of the season.
The Kats, now 2-2, got a first-half goal from freshman Yony Guardado (Larose, La./South Lafourche) scored on a penalty kick in the 29th minute. ECC added a goal on a header by freshman Alexander Drainville (Orchard Park, N.Y./St. Francis) with the assist to sophomore Taylor Sentz (Hamburg, N.Y./Frontier) in the 76th minute.
The Kats will play Bryant & Stratton at 3 p.m. Thursday at Jim Ball Stadium.
