Kiernan Records Shutout, Kats Blank Genesee

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Sept. 6 - Sophomore goalkeeper Madison Kiernan (Lackawanna, N.Y./Immaculata) recorded her second collegiate shutout by making four saves, including one on a penalty kick, as the Erie Community College women's soccer team recorded a 2-0 win over Genesee Community College Thursday afternoon at Jim Ball Stadium. ECC is now 3-1.
Sophomore Allyson Wrazen (East Aurora, N.Y./Iroquois) and freshman Brianna Winston (Buffalo, N.Y./South Park) scored goals for the Kats while sophomore Breanna Pangel (Holland, N.Y./Holland) added an assist on Wrazen's goal. Wrazen's goal was her third of the season while Winston now has two.
The Kats will play Mercyhurst North East in North East, Pa., at 3 p.m. Monday.
