Lady Hornets Add 2 More to 2018 Class
MONTGOMERY, Ala. | Alabama State head women's soccer coach Jodie Smith announced the addition of two players for the upcoming 2018 season Tuesday afternoon.
Fabienne Balvers of Culemborg (Holland) joins Alabama State after playing five years for Prineses Irene in the KNVB Royal Dutch Soccer League in the Women's Third Division as a midfielder. She helped lead the team to the Dutch championship, and was nominated for Player of the Year.
She will join Adriana Zorilla of Lima (Peru) who played for Sporting Cristal as a forward in the Peruvian Women's League. She was named the League's Player of the Year, and played on both the U17 and the U20 Peruvian Women's National Team. Zorilla represented Peru in January 2018 at the CONMEBOL South American U20 Women's Championship.
