Lefebvre Announces UVM recruiting class
University of Vermont head coach Kristi Lefebvre will add six newcomers to the women's soccer program in 2015. Lefebvre announced her fourth recruiting class today that includes Casey Garfinkel, Savana Yurick, Clarissa Gold, Jordyn Klapper, Aly Maneri, and Anna Keimel.
"This is a talented group that our staff worked very hard to assemble. My assistants Jason Russell and Adam Batista did an excellent job identifing these players. We are thrilled to welcome them to Catamount Country. They are diverse in terms of strengths, and each one of them displays the qualities we look for in our student-athletes. We anxiously await their arrival to campus, and have full confidence in them to excel both on the field and in the classroom," said Lefebvre.
Casey Garfinkel
Garfinkel was a two-time captain at Livingston High School and led the team to two conference championships in 2012 and 2013. She finished her high school career with four goals and 15 assists. She was an all-conference selection three times and earned all-state honors twice.

In 2013 Match Fit Colchesters also won a Region I title and advanced back to the USYS National League Championship. Garfinkel also participated in ECNL PDP events.
"Casey is one of the best outside backs I have seen. She is great with the ball at her feet, can attack out of the back and her service both during the run of play and on set pieces is exceptional. She is always very connected with the rest of her backline and defensively, she is relentless," said Lefebvre.
Savanna Yurick
Yurick is a midfielder from Wexford, Pennsylvania. She played at North Allegheny High School and with the Beadling Gunners club program.
She competed in the National Olympic Development Program Training Camp in 2013 and was part of the Inter-Regional ODP Training Camp in 2012. Yurick was an ODP team captain three times.

"Savana is a talented attacking-minded player who can create from the middle or out wide. She is smooth with the ball, and makes possession look easy," said Lefebvre.
Clarissa Gold

South Carolina United/Mount Pleasant Elite was the State Cup U17 Runner Up in 2013 and the U18 champions in 2014. Gold also led Columbia HS to the 2013 Regional Championship.
A two-year member of Region III ODP Team, and attended has also attended ODP National Training Camps.
"Clarissa is an extremely athletic goalkeeper. She has excellent range and great coverage of the 18. She has the ability to make the big save, as well as multiple saves and this sets her apart," said Lefebvre.

"Jordyn is a wide forward who possesses great speed and quickness. She will help us right away in the attacking third. She is good 1v1 on both sides of the ball, and she has good service into the box. Though she is versatile, we look to her to impact right away up top."
