Complete Patriot League Release
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Seventeen student-athletes on the Lehigh women's soccer team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league on Thursday. Seven different Mountain Hawks tallied a GPA of 3.75 or higher as the program continues its tremendous success in the classroom.
The Mountain Hawks were led by senior Darby Dustman, who achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the fall semester as an Industrial and Systems Engineering major. Dustman was followed closely behind by junior Paige Elliott (Chemical Engineering) with a 3.94 grade point average.
In total, 156 student-athletes earned a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Archrival Lafayette placed first on the list with 23 student-athletes recognized, followed by Bucknell (21) and Colgate (18). Nine out of Lehigh's 17 Academic Honor Roll honorees also earned a spot on the Dean's List. In order to qualify for Dean's List, students must earn at least a 3.60 grade point average.
On top of competing in one of the league's seven fall championship sports, student-athletes must finish the fall semester with a GPA of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the academic honor roll.
Lehigh has enjoyed continued success in the classroom, led by Elliott who was named an Academic All-District honoree and made the Academic All-Patriot League Team behind her stellar 3.98 cumulative GPA. The Mountain Hawks also received an NSCAA Academic Award for the 11th time in the last 12 seasons. Lehigh's graduating class of 2015 combined for an average cumulative GPA of 3.60. Another of those seniors, Dustman, received Academic All-League honors in 2012.
Lehigh ended its season with a 4-7-5 record and 2-3-4 mark in the league. The Mountain Hawks made history, posting their longest-ever unbeaten streak to begin league play (six). They tied defending Patriot League champion Boston University and finished the season with six shutouts.
