|Krieger named SWAC Offensive Player of the Week
Senior wins award after hat trick against Presbyterian
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Alabama State University senior forward Lexi Krieger was awarded the Offensive Player of the Week award by the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), announced by the conference office Monday evening.
Krieger, who had been held scoreless through 10 shots and five matches, got on the board in a big way against Presbyterian College in a 6-1 victory. The senior recorded four shots, all on goal, and recorded her first hat trick of the season and added an assist in the victory. Krieger finished the night with seven points overall on the night for the Lady Hornets.
Alabama State (2-4) returns to action Sunday on the road against Lipscomb in Nashville (Tenn.), with kick set for 1 pm.
