Marist Falls to Canisius, 3-1
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Marist women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 match against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opponent Canisius on Oct. 22.
Following an own goal, Marist was able to capitalize off a corner kick in the 31st minute. Sophomore Danielle Glazer (Queens, N.Y.) drove the ball to senior Marjana Maksuti (Delmar, N.Y.), who headed the ball in the net for her second score of the season.
Canisius (5-13, 4-5) pulled ahead toward the end of the first half. Freshman Samantha Gagliano fired the ball into the net after corralling a shot that had hit the right post.
