Marist To Play Dartmouth on Senior Night
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Marist women’s soccer team will play its home finale Oct. 27 when it hosts Dartmouth at 5 p.m. The contest will be streamed live on the Red Fox Network. Prior to the start of the game, seniors Amanda Epstein (Jericho, N.Y.), Marjana Maksuti (Delmar, N.Y.), Marissa Mertens (Hicksville, N.Y.), Jamie Strumwasser (Massapequa Park, N.Y.), and Andrea Wicks (East Northport, N.Y.) will be honored for their accomplishments and commitment to the program.
Last Time Out
Marist suffered a tough 1-0 loss to Monmouth in the third of four consecutive home games Oct. 25. Despite owning a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks, the Red Foxes had just one shot on goal before the Hawks netted the only goal of the match on their final shot. Wicks made a pair of saves for Marist.
Player to Watch
Maksuti has played in all 16 games for Marist and is tied for the team lead in points. She is second on the team with 18 shots, including 10 shots on goal.
Scouting Dartmouth
The Big Green (5-4-4, 2-0-3) are coming off two straight shutouts against Ivy League opponents Penn and Columbia, respectively. Junior Lucielle Kozlov is tied for the team lead with four goals and leads Dartmouth with nine points while junior Corey Delaney has fired 37 shots.
Looking Ahead
Marist (2-10-4, 1-5-3) concludes it 2014 season with a game against Niagara at 4 p.m. Oct. 29.
