Men's College Preseason Top 100 Players
The TDS Pre-season 100 is here, ranking the top players in college soccer heading into the 2024 season. Leading are five of the best talents in the men’s game, all looking for a chance at a legacy-defining season.
Bohane leads the preseason rankings as the most dynamic attacker in college soccer. The Stanford No. 10 possesses a heightened soccer brain and a game-breaking left foot whose precision leads to plenty of goals and assists. Stanford feels it has a real chance at a national championship, and their superstar could lead the way.
Fresh off starring on the Notre Dame team that reached the College Cup final, Boneau heads into the season with plenty of confidence after opting to remain with the Irish despite Nashville SC drafting him in the third round. The Texas native can dominate in virtually every position in the midfield or frontline, a valuable skillset that could lead to a national title.
3. Isaac Nehme, Denver
One of the premier goalkeepers in college soccer, Nehme heads into Junior year with 21 shutouts from his 41 collegiate starts. The Pioneers feel they have the roster to make a deep NCAA run, and the Colorado Rapids product could be the hero in that venture.
Against all odds, Meyer returns to California for one last season after Nashville SC selected him with the 11th pick in the 2024 draft. The 2023 Pac-12 Defender of the Year will look at this season as a golden developmental opportunity in an ACC conference stacked with professional talent.
5. Marcus Caldeira, West Virginia
Another of the MLS draft picks taking advantage of new rules, Caldeira features the Mountaineers after Minnesota United selected him 20th overall. West Virginia strives to return to the College Cup, and having an All-American forward who is already familiar with the system adds up to a significant advantage. Look out for a player who could lead the country in scoring.
