America East Semifinals
New Hampshire 1, Vermont 0
Paul Bianchi scored from a goalmouth scramble in the 56th minute to lift UNH past the Catamounts. Travis Worra recorded 6 saves in goal to earn the shutout for the Wildcats.
UMBC 1, Stony Brook 0
Kadeem Dacres stole the ball 30 yards from goal, rushed in on net and finished from short range to give the Retrievers a 1-0 lead.
Atlantic Sun Quarterfinals
East Tennessee State 1, Jacksonville 0
Itode Fubara’s early goal held up for the Buccaneers, who got a shutout in goal from Ryan Coulter.
Lipscomb 1, USC Upstate 0
Tyler Burkhardt’s 31st minute lifted Lipscomb to the victory. John Schnurbusch picked up the shutout in goal, despite not having to make a save.
Big Ten Quarterfinals
Northwestern 2, Ohio State 0
Kyle Schickel and Joey Calistri struck within moments of each other to put the Wildcats up by 2 goals in the early going. Wildcat goalkeeper Tyler Miller needed to make just one save in posting the shutout.
Michigan State 2, Indiana 1
Adam Montague scored in the early going and then Ryan Keener put the Spartans up 2-0 in the 76th minute. Nikita Kotlov made it interesting with a late goal for IU. Todd Yeagley’s Hoosiers will rest for a week while Damon Rensing’s Spartans keep their postseason hopes alive.
James Murphy put the Wolverines up with a 68th minute goal and Adam Grinwis helped make it stand up.
Big West Semifinals
Cal State Northridge(m) 2, Cal Poly 0
Sagi Lev-Ari put the Matadors on top with a 60th minute goal. Carlos Gonzalez doubled the advantage in the 85th minute and Michael Abalos made 4 saves while pitching the shutout in goal.
UC Davis 2, Cal State Fullerton 0
Matt Sheldon and Ian Palmer scored for the Aggies, with Omar Zeeni recording a shutout in goal.
Conference USA Quarterfinals
Chase Wickham scored a pair of first half goals for the Blazers before UCF’s Steven Lamberta pulled one back just before halftime. Diego Navarrete put the Blazers up 3-1 with a second half goal.
Jacob Kemper’s 74th minute goal lifted the Wildcats over the Tigers. Jack Van Arsdale made 6 saves in posting a shutout for UK.
Missouri Valley Conference Quarterfinals
Drake 2, Evansville 1
Eric Williams scored in the final minute of regulation to lift Drake over the Purple Aces. Joel Craig had put Evansville on top in the first half, but his goal was canceled out by a first half effort from Drake’s James Arde.
Central Arkansas 1, Bradley 0
Cody Gibson recorded the shutout in goal, with the help of a defensive goal-line clearance, and Daniel Sampredro scored the firsthalf winner.
