Men’s college soccer, turmoil is thy middle name

For much of the season, this column’s tracked the uproarious change that’s visited the top of the men’s DI poll on a near weekly basis. Washington lent some stability to the No. 1 spot by staying there a month, but it appears nothing gold can stay in this year’s topsy turvy madness. The Huskies trekked to UCLA last week and fell to the Bruins in a 2-1 defeat, dropping them two spots down the poll to No. 3. Hardly a crushing blow, but it dented their hopes at a Pac-12 title and churned the poll again at the top.
