Men’s Division I Top 25: Sept. 29
Another week, another shake-up to the top five in the TopDrawerSoccer men’s Division I Top 25.
Notre Dame (4-1-2, 2-0-1) retains the top spot following an impressive 2-0 win over North Carolina in an ACC tilt over the weekend. There’s no break coming for the Irish though as games against VCU and Boston College highlight the upcoming week.
Washington (7-1) jumps into the second spot after a 2-1 overtime victory over Portland on Saturday. The Huskies open conference play this week with the two Bay Area programs headed to Seattle.
Creighton (6-1-1, 1-0) claws back to the third spot following a 1-0 win over Villanova in the Big East opener for both programs. The Bluejays return to the field on Tuesday with a game against UMKC(m).
UC Irvine (8-0-1) jumps up to No. 4 in the TopDrawerSoccer Top 25 this week. The Anteaters survived the trip to Las Vegas with wins over UNLV and Utah Valley. Big West Conference play begins this week for Irvine with road games against Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara.
Syracuse (8-1, 2-1) jumps into the top five after a pair of 1-0 wins last week. The Orange beat Binghamton on Tuesday and Virginia on Saturday. The New York program continues its impressive roll on Tuesday with a game against Colgate.
