Mountain Hawks predicted fourth in league

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men's soccer team was predicted fourth in a tight Patriot League preseason poll, while senior Justin Worley was named a preseason All-League honoree, as announced on Tuesday. The Mountain Hawks garnered 126 points and one first-place vote, just 22 points behind American, who was predicted first with 148 points and six first-place votes.
Following American came Boston University with 147 points (10 first-place votes), Colgate with 130 points (three first-place votes) and Lehigh. The Mountain Hawks were followed by Navy (80 points), Bucknell (73), Army West Point (73), Holy Cross (48), Loyola (48) and Lafayette (27).
Lehigh finished last regular season in fourth place, defeating No. 5 Bucknell in the Patriot League Quarterfinals, No. 1 Colgate in the semifinals and No. 3 American in the championship game.
Worley is a two-time All-Patriot League honoree, earning first team laurels last season while also garnering Academic All-League and third team All-Region recognition. As a sophomore, he was second team All-Patriot League and earned the team's Coaches Award. Worley has been an anchor on the team's back line from day one, starting all 58 games over his first three seasons.
Lehigh opens its season on Friday when the Mountain Hawks travel to the James Madison Invitational. Lehigh faces host James Madison at 7:30 p.m. Friday before facing Radford at 12 p.m. Sunday.
